Orland Park - Larry Stanley Kociolek passed away on August 2, 2025, at the age of 78, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 29, 1947, in Chicago, IL. Larry proudly served in the United States Army and later spent over four decades at CNA Insurance. His unwavering dedication, work ethic, and ability to make everyone feel valued made him a cherished colleague and friend.

Larry’s life was a reflection of his love for family and the joy of bringing people together. He welcomed all with open arms, hosting gatherings that left lasting memories. Known for his love of pizza, pierogi parties, and creating connections, Larry’s genuine warmth and humor brightened every room.

Larry’s devotion to his family was unmatched. He found immense happiness in the shared moments with his wife, children, and grandchildren. His legacy of love and wisdom will forever guide those blessed to have known him.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, brother John, children Paul Gulbransen, Larry Kociolek, and Sarah Lyons, grandchildren Grayson, Landon, Addison, Sadie, and Quinn, along with a multitude of family and friends. Larry’s memory will be forever cherished by those he touched.

A visitation and Celebration of Larry’s Life will take place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Colonial Chapel in Orland Park. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Vascular Institute at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, IL, are appreciated.

Larry’s spirit of kindness, humor, and love will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed, but his impact will live on through the love he shared with others.
