Thomas "Tom" Paine, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on August 19, 2025, at the age of 82. He is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah, children Tommy, Todd, Kristin, Erica, Erin, and Richard, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Tom, who grew up in Cicero, Illinois, had various career endeavors including working at the Taylor Forge factory, owning a neighborhood bar (M.T. Glass), and running an auto machine shop (Tom's Head Service). He enjoyed spending time with family, telling stories, fishing, and socializing with friends at Junior's and the racetrack.

A visitation to honor Tom's life will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Orland Funeral Home in Orland Park. A morning gathering will take place on Monday, August 25, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a celebration of life service at 11:00 a.m. at the same location.
