Lockport - Arthur E. Hillier, known affectionately as "Art", peacefully passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at the age of 92. Hillier, a United States Korean War Navy Veteran, was a dedicated genealogist and author, with a passion for researching his family history. He retired from a career spanning Ciba Pharmaceutical and Polaroid Corporation before dedicating 30 years to his genealogy work. Hillier cherished time with his family above all else.

Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Hillier is survived by his wife of 67 years, Evelyn D. Hillier, daughter Kathleen Kaminsky, grandsons, great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Great Teachers Scholarship Fund at VanderCook College of Music.

Cremation rites have been respectfully carried out, and inurnment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood will take place at a later date to honor Arthur E. Hillier's life and contributions.
