Justice - Juan M. Nieves, affectionately known as Junior, peacefully entered eternal rest on August 26, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on November 14, 1951, in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, Juan's journey brought him to Chicago, Illinois, where he spent his final moments surrounded by the love of his family.

A skilled machinist, Junior was not only adept at crafting metal but also at forging relationships with those he worked with. He combined his dedication to his trade with active involvement in his church, where his devout Christian faith was evident in his warm and welcoming demeanor, embodying the teachings of Christ.

Junior found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as attending church, fishing, and sharing meals with friends. His infectious laughter touched the lives of all who knew him, leaving a legacy of generosity, humor, and kindness.

Junior's memory lives on through his cherished family, including his ex-wife Ana Lopez, his son Juan J. (Lillian) Nieves, his daughter Ana (Stefan) Draht, his three grandchildren Jacob, Jeremiah, and Isaac, and his sister Luz Aida Nieves Castro. His legacy of kindness and love will be forever treasured by his family and the many friends he made throughout his life.

As Juan M. Nieves is bid farewell, his impact on those around him is reminiscent of the profound effect one life can have. His laughter will resound in the hearts of those who held him dear. Rest in peace, dear Junior. While your earthly journey has concluded, the stories of your warmth and generosity will continue to be shared by those whose lives you've enriched. May you find eternal peace in the arms of the Lord.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium in Justice. Cremation rites will be accorded.
