Bernadette A. Klein (nee Dockus), aged 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Sunny Hill Nursing Home in Joliet. Formerly of Shorewood and a resident of Romeoville for 39 years, Bernadette is survived by her sons Richard (Rosa), Keith (Debbie), and Douglas (the late Renee) Klein, siblings Walther (Carolyn), Elrita (Frank), and Ronald (Donna) Dockus, as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Bernadette was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Richard J. Klein, parents Walter and Antoinette Dockus, and sons Gregory (Sylvianna) and Wayne Klein. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at Anderson Memorial Home in Plainfield, IL. A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, with a service at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Romeoville at 10:00am, followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville.
