SIU Medicine Department of Population Science and Policy, an academic medical department dedicated to improving the social determinants of health in rural and underserved Illinois, is proud to announce the addition of Eric Hargan, former Acting Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and current CEO of The Hargan Group, to its advisory board effective October 2021.
Simmons Cancer Institute at SIU will hold its 13th Annual Butterfly Release at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, in the Thomas Garden of Hope, Simmons Cancer Institute at SIU, 315 W. Carpenter St., Springfield. The public is invited to the free event. Seating is limited, and social distancing and use of masks will be used according to CDC Guidelines.
