Gov. Pritzker Visits Peoria and Quincy to Highlight FY24 Budget Investments in Poverty Prevention and Higher Education
Governor JB Pritzker continued his statewide budget amplification tour with stops to Peoria and Quincy. The FY24 budget is Illinois's fifth balanced budget under Governor Pritzker and is preceded by eight credit rating upgrades, a "rainy day" fund set to surpass $2 billion, the elimination of the bill backlog, and $1 trillion in GDP. The Governor was joined at the stops by Lt. Governor Juliana Stratton and state and community leaders to highlight investments in poverty prevention, food security, and increased funding for higher education.

Gov. Pritzker Announces New Manufacturing Facility in Southern Illinois
Governor JB Pritzker, Manner Polymers, and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) today joined local leaders and partners to announce Manner Polymers' new manufacturing facility in Mount Vernon. Known as an industry manufacturing leader in polymer compounds, Manner Polymers' new state-of-the-art Illinois facility will manufacture a wide array of PVC compounds, including automotive PVC compounds for use in electric vehicles (EVs) and components for solar panels.

Gov. Pritzker Announces Four Appointments to Boards and Commissions
Joseph Kagann will serve as a Member of the Amusement Ride and Attraction Safety Board.* Kagann is a U.S. Army veteran whose extensive background includes information technology, intergovernmental relations, and vendor and inventory control. He currently works as the General Manager for Sky Zone Aurora where oversees daily sales, maintenance projects, and other tasks. In addition to his work at Sky Zone, Kagann was elected as Woodridge Village Clerk and has been serving since 2017. Prior to this, he was an elected Village Trustee for ten years. Kagann has been recognized for his military achievements and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and Army Commendation Award.

IDPH Reports All Illinois Counties are at Low Level for COVID-19 Under New Surveillance System
The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) announced that under a revised system for monitoring COVID-19 across the United States, the CDC is reporting that all 102 Illinois counties are at a low level for COVID-19 hospital admissions.

JB Pritzker's historic, bipartisan Rebuild Illinois capital program. Connecting Interstate 70 to downtown Effingham, the new and improved Fayette Avenue will help reduce congestion along a busy commercial corridor, increase transportation options for residents and enhance local quality of life.

State of Illinois Launches Blue Collar Jobs Act Construction Tax Credits for Illinois Businesses
Governor JB Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) today announced the launch of the Blue Collar Jobs Act (BCJA) Tax Credit application for eligible companies. BCJA is a bipartisan legislative package designed to promote economic expansion and growth in Illinois by incentivizing construction projects. The legislation makes $20 million in tax credits available per year for eligible companies.

DPH Reports No Illinois Counties at an Elevated Community Level for COVID-19
The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) announced today that the CDC is reporting that all counties in the state are a Low Community Level for COVID-19 this week. This comes after four counties were listed at Medium Community Level last week. No counties were at High Level this week for the seventh straight week.
