Six U.S. congressmen from Illinois have endorsed Erika Harold for Illinois attorney general, according to a recent press release from Harold's campaign.

The Republicans in Harold's corner so far are Reps. Mike Bost, John Shimkus, Rodney Davis, Randy Hultgren, Adam Kinzinger and Darin LaHood.

"It is an honor to have the support from the members of our congressional delegation," Harold said, according to the press release. "As leaders from across our states, our congressmen know how important real reform are to our state. I look forward to continuing the fight for reform that will put the people's interest ahead of the interest of the powerful political class."

Davis touted Harold as the kind of leader Illinois needs to take on "the political machine," according to the release.

"A Harvard educated lawyer and a national leader combating school violence, Erika Harold tells the hard truths and always stands up for those in need," Davis said in the release. "I know she’ll take on the corruption in state government.”
