Illinois Joining Forces has a new executive director

Veter

The Illinois Joining Forces Foundation (IJF) board of directors recently hired retired Army Lt. Col. Jaime Martinez to be its executive director.

Martinez is taking over the position held by Andrew Dillon, a Nov. 22 IJF release said.

Martinez’s role as executive director will be to provide leadership to maintain the strategic and day-to-day operational functions of the IJF in maintaining its public-private network of veteran and military serving organizations.

Martinez formerly was an Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs general counsel who assisted in the development and implementation of IJF’s founding, the release said.

“We are delighted to have Jaime Martinez stepping up as the new IJF executive director and expect that he will lead IJF with the same professionalism that he has displayed throughout his career of service,” Tom Miller, IJF board chairman, said in the release.
