Liberty Principles PAC recently released video ads to raise awareness among Illinois voters about high property taxes.
In the video, several residents discuss how they have experienced hardships due to the high property taxes in the state. They also note that none of the current politicians seem to care about their needs.
“I don’t believe we are getting additional value for the additional taxes that we are paying,” Anne Pederson, a West Chicago resident said.
Colleen Murphy, of Downers Grove, said she doesn't want to pay more taxes to a state that does not spend tax revenue properly.
“Rich, poor, Republican, Democrat; we’re all the same when it comes to property taxes,” the ad states.
“It is bi-partisan failure,” Elmwood Park resident Shaun Thompson said. “You either force politicians who oppose property tax caps out of office or they force you out of Illinois.”
The organization also lists 19 candidates that they believe will bring about tax reform.
