Ad describes State Rep. Moylan’s “Million Dollar Lie”

Rep. Martin Moylan (D-Des Plaines) has lied to constituents about his political loyalties, according to a 30-second TV ad.

The video, posted on YouTube.com, opens with the statement “This is what a million-dollar lie sounds like,” and shows footage of Moylan stating in a public meeting “I do not take any money from Michael Madigan,” the longtime Democrat Speaker of the Illinois House.

However, according to election records, Moylan’s campaign has received $981,000 from Madigan, a property tax lawyer established in Springfield since the early 1970s.

The ad next shows Moylan leading supporters in a chant of “Who do we like? Mike?”

“If Marty Moylan lies to you, and cheerleads for Mike Madigan, who do you think he serves?” the ad states.

The ad was paid for by Liberty Principles PAC.
