Greg Baise is desperately trying to make sense of all the tax madness.
“Before any Republican or Democrat supports or signs the third tax hike on Illinois families in the last eight years, they should release their own full personal tax returns,” Blaise, chairman of the Ideas Illinois website, which promotes economic growth by promoting free-market principles, said in a Feb. 13 press release. “Illinois’ legislators have passed two massive tax hikes within the last 8 years and we are still billions of dollars in the hole reflecting a failure of leadership and ability to bring forth new ideas for how to tackle our state’s problems.”
The alarm bells about a potential new tax hike were sounded in a recent Capital Fax post in which website columnist RickhMiller opined that support is starting to build for yet another “temporary” hike in the state’s income tax, which he believes would set the table for a far more burdensome jobs tax.

Baise argues enough is enough.
“It’s time our elected officials are held accountable—if they want to continue demanding more and more of Illinois families while continuing to recklessly spend then they should be transparent with their own finances,” he added.
