With $136.9 billion in revenue in fiscal year 2019, Walgreens Boots Alliance was the highest-ranking Prairie State business on the list, coming in 19th on the publication's extended ranking.
Fortune's list includes publically traded and private companies.
Companies in the top 500 had revenues of at least $5.7 billion, which is a 1% increase over the previous year’s threshold.
