The group Milk N Cooks wasn’t always enamored with President Trump. The twin brothers, James, and Paul McElwain, supported former President Barack Obama but now they are showing up in full force to host pro-Trump rallies nationwide.

“We didn't come into this as Trump guys,” James McElwain said. “It took us a while to warm up to him. We liked what he was doing for small business owners.”

It was a bumpy road at first for the blond Midwestern DJs, who eventually came out in favor of the now-embattled president.

“We faced backlash over our support for Trump,” Paul McElwain said.

These days they have become conservative media darlings, performing before the American Priority Conference (AmpFest) in Miami at Trump Doral, at Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago, and in Kenosha for a Trump rally the night before Election Day 2020.

“We’re becoming leaders of the new-age conservative, patriot, pro-Trump movement in Illinois just because we've been publicly supporting the president since about a year ago,” Milk N Cooks told the Prairie State Wire.

The entertainers will be among the featured performers and speakers at a peaceful protest Stop the Steal rally 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 401 S. Second St. on the steps of the Illinois Capitol in Springfield. It is part of a nationwide push to encourage Trump and election integrity, which includes invents simultaneously planned for the Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C. at Noon EST and other cities.

“I think people will see their taxes go up if Trump loses the election law battle,” Paul McElwain said. “People will see manufacturing jobs return to outside the U.S. and there will be mass regret, mass [Joe] Biden regret.”

Networks and news organizations declared Biden the winner of the 2020 presidential election on Nov. 7.

Dubbed Stop The Steal Jamborally, Robert Cruz is among the organizers.

“We met Robert Cruz through a mutual friend who was looking for DJs and performers that aligned with him politically,” James McElwain told the Prairie State Wire. “Rob created the GOP Jamboree to solidify himself as a leader of the patriot movement in Illinois. We bonded with him through our shared values and his leadership. He is an honest man who wants to create positive change in the state of Illinois and stop the endless dominance of Democratic policy.”

As previously reported in the Will County Gazette, Milk N Cooks were featured guests at the GOP Jamboree last month along with Ann Dorn.

Despite being Trump supporters, Milk N Cooks stay away from politics.

“We're entertainers who have been thrust into the spotlight,” they said. “We're not political figures at all.”

Regarding their goal for Saturday’s Jamborally, the McElwain brothers said they aim to raise awareness and to let local politicians, national politicians and Trump know that people are watching, people care and people are involved.

“It means a lot to us and we're not going anywhere,” Milk N Cooks said. “We're not conceding until Trump concedes, which we don't think he will concede. Pretty much all Trump supporters believe there was voter fraud. We’re not giving up. We want fair elections.”

State officials nationwide have turned up no evidence of systemic voter fraud but the twins advocate for election reform.

"People should be able to watch every vote counted," Milk N Cooks said. "There should be body cameras on the ballot counters. That's our main mission. Let's create a system that works."
