Child Endangerment Risk Assessment Protocol Advisory Committee Met Feb. 26.

In attendance via WebEx videoconference: Tamara Fuller, Maria Miller, Diane Moncher, Bettie Alvin, Dana Weiner, Janet Ahern, Kara Hamilton, Tierney Stutz, Brenda Lindsey, Joan Pernecke, Dustin Frevert
Meeting called to order at 12:05 PM by Tamara Fuller. Janet Ahern motioned to accept the minutes from the October 9, 2020 meeting and seconded by Diane Moncher. The group voted to accept the minutes.
Maria Miller introduced herself as the Acting Deputy Director of Child Protection and DCFS liaison to this committee.
Maria pointed out that the Department is at a critical point to find a new tool that it uses to make safety decisions. Maria then introduced Dana Weiner from Chapin Hall to the group.
Dana was contracted by the Department to study the CERAP tool and whether it is still the best mechanism for the Department to use to make safety decisions.
Dana gave her presentation to the committee. It should be noted that her presentation is a project in process and has not been finished or approved by the Department. The information presented and thus not been approved for distribution.
The Department looks forward to sharing the work created by Dana Weiner at Chapin Hall with this committee after the work is completed.
