Teddi on the loose: Horse jumping and bar hopping in Miami

Tpritz

Theodora “Teddi” Pritzker has very been active in Florida — where masks have long been a thing of the past and where she recently won a horse jumping award and went out on the town with a teammate.

Pritzker, 19, took to Instagram to announce a win in horse jumping.

“Couldn’t have asked for a better birthday present than jumping clear in the $36,000 Grand Prize CS12* (Heart emoji) so many dreams have come true...,” she said on Instagram.

Teddi Prtizker was very active in Miami.

Pritzker is teammates with Alexander Goet, who won the top prize that day.

Later the two posted photos of themselves partying in Miami, including a photo of them passed out together on a bed.

Teddi is Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s eldest daughter. She has publicly flaunted her father’s executive orders since early in the pandemic.

Early in the pandemic, Pritzker’s family fled Illinois for their $12 million estate in Wellington, Florida, known as the equestrian capital of the United States.

Pritzker blamed Chicago City Wire for his family’s extended stay in Florida.

In contrast to Illinois, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has sought to ban masks in schools and early on re-opened many businesses.

Teddi took advantage of the environment.

She was captured on camera working out in a gym class while Illinois was locking down large sectors of the economy.

Ever since, Teddi’s life in Florida has been a study in contrast from her Illinois peers.

The billionaire’s daughter has often been spotted out and about in the Sunshine State during her time in exile.

She has been a proliferate social media user, posting photos of herself walking on nearby beaches.

She was also captured maskless in several photos back home in Chicago at Lollapalooza earlier this year. And Teddi and others were allowed to jump horses competitively in Illinois while other sports, namely prep football, were shut down per her father’s executive orders.

Illinois and Florida have experienced pretty much the same death rate over the lifetime of the pandemic.

Still, Illinois has broad mask mandates where Florida has only a few municipalities and school districts that are requiring mask-wearing.

The latest figures by The New York Times reveal that overall Florida -- with a population of nearly 22 million -- has experienced 56,407 deaths while Illinois with just 12 million in population has experienced 27,965 deaths.
