Gubernatorial candidate Sen. Darren Bailey (R-Louisville) recently tweeted a list of complaints about Gov. Pritzker's administration.
"ENOUGH! Taxes are too high! Gas is too expensive! Our schools are failing our children! We have a shortage of teachers and other workers! We have a shortage of police officers! We certainly have a shortage of leadership and common sense in the Governor's office! #twill," tweeted Bailey on March 10.
Bailey's tweet comes as he and running mate Stephanie Trussell continue a bus tour of the state, which started March 1 and was scheduled to wrap on March 16.
Former GOP gubernatorial candidate Jeanne Ives endorsed Bailey for governor this month. In a statement, she wrote: "This year, voters can vote for someone who has already exhibited the courage to lead in the the face of ridicule by the political class, including those in his own party. I know the Republican candidates running for Governor. There are good men running for this office on the Republican side. But when leadership was demanded against a One Man Government in Pritzker, there was only a One-Man response in Darren Bailey. For his courage and experience, I wholeheartedly endorse Darren Bailey for Governor."
A cornerstone of Bailey's gubernatorial campaign is that he will repeal all of Pritzker's mandates.
