Mark Carroll For Congress has issued the following press release:

In February, the Minnesota Senate Republican Caucus released an opinion in response to Governor Walz's request for a bailout of Minneapolis, to restore the areas looters were allowed to freely ransack causing over $500 million worth of property damage. Mark Carroll For Congress provides a follow-up to that statement here:

"I want to make it clear before I start, the people of Illinois' 11th Congressional District are experiencing their own hardships right now without having to foot additional bills," said Illinois' 11th Congressional District Candidate Mark Carroll. "Look no further than fuel prices, grocery prices, and most everything that costs more today than it did this time last year."

"Regarding Governor Walz's request, we have to understand that despite Democrat's claims to the contrary, the looting and acts of destruction that occurred in poorly run Democrat cities, like Minneapolis, in the Summer leading up to the 2020 Presidential election was not the the fault of law enforcement and not caused by right-wing extremists, as is they would have you believe. Some would say that the regular use of these go-to scapegoats is laughable." says Mark.

Carroll adds, "The violence and destruction was only emboldened by calls to defund the police these very same politicians. Weak Mayors, like the Mayor in Minneapolis, stood back and refused to defend and protect the lives of their residents and both public and private property from left-wing anarchists whose sole goal was to sow chaos."

"These so-called peaceful protests across the country were directly aimed at undermining the election process and caused billions of dollars in damage to public and private property," states Carroll.

"Now these same mayors and governors have the audacity to request a taxpayer bailout for their weakness and ineptitude. We are not buying it. We need to elect leaders, like myself, that will stand up and fight for America again."

Mark Joseph Carroll is currently endorsed by the Lake County Republican Central Committee, Illinois Family Action, the Naperville Township Republican Organization, Batavia Township Republican Organization, Chairwoman Fran Shaw, and North Aurora Trustee Laura Curtis in Illinois’ 11th Congressional District, which encompasses portions of Lake, McHenry, Boone, DeKalb, Kane, DuPage, Cook, and Will Counties.
