Illinois Labor Relations Board Local Panel met July 13.
Here are the minutes provided by the panel:
I. OPENING OF MEETING 10:00 A.M.— via Webex video conference and 160 North LaSalle Street, S-400, Chicago, IL
II. PRESENT
Lynne O. Sered, Chairman of the Local Panel, and Angela Thomas, Member of the Local Panel, attended in person at the Chicago Office. Member Charles E. Anderson did not attend the meeting; Helen J. Kim, General Counsel, participated in person at the Chicago Office; Kimberly F. Stevens, Executive Director and staff members participated by video conference.
III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING HELD on June 8, 2023.
Chairman Sered called for approval of the minutes of the regular meeting held June 8, 2023. Member Thomas made a motion to approve the minutes. The Board passed the motion unanimously, by a voice vote.
IV. ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS
Executive Director Stevens reports were held until the Joint Panel which took place at 10:30am.
V. REVIEW OF PROPOSED WRITTEN DECISIONS AND ORDERS
A. L-CA-21-033
Justin Janda and Paul Bollinger and County of Cook and Sheriff of Cook County Chairman Sered called the case and General Counsel Kim presented the proposed written decision. Member Thomas made a motion to approve the proposed written decision. The Board passed it unanimously, by a voice vote.
VI. BOARD ACTIONS
1. Case No. L-CB-23-014
Steffanie Toney and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 21
Chairman Sered called the case. General Counsel Kim presented the case. Member Thomas made a motion to accept the Executive Director’s dismissal. The Board passed it unanimously, by a roll call, voice vote.
VII. EXECUTIVE SESSION
After a short discussion regarding whether there was a need for executive session, the Board concluded it was unnecessary.
VIII. PUBLIC COMMENT
No members of the public sought to make comments.
IX. ADJOURNMENT
Chairman Sered called for a motion to adjourn. Member Thomas made a motion to passed it unanimously, by a roll call, voice vote.
