Illinois Department of Human Services Illinois Interagency Council on Early Intervention met Oct. 17

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

I. Welcome and Introductions

- Each participant introduced themselves and gave a brief history of their background, location, experience, etc.

II. Ground Rules and Expectations

a. Proposed Norms

- Reviewed group norms. Intent: Assume positive intent of others. Respect: Honor the views and experiences of others. Listen: Listen carefully to others. Ask: Ask and answer questions to ensure shared understanding. Share: Share your perspective willingly. Speak: Try to be concise and give all members an opportunity to contribute.

b. Expectations of Participants

• Participant expectations include attending all workgroup meetings; if consistently unavailable, we'll need to identify someone to take your place.
• Information is to be reviewed prior to the meeting so that well informed conversation can take place.
• Information discussed amongst the workgroup will remain within the group until final approval and clear directives that it can be shared.

c. Member listing and contact information

- A conversation was held about member listing and contact information being posted publicly on the IICEI page. There were no issues raised with this.

d. Meeting schedule- day/time

- A doodle poll will be sent out to determine the best day/time to have consistent meetings. If a participant is unable to commit to the meeting time chosen via the doodle poll, the expectation is that they will assist us in replacing their position on the workgroup.

III. Review Workgroup Charge

- The charge was sent with the agenda and reviewed while in the meeting. Time was given for questions.

IV. Cost Modeling

- The Bureau of Early Intervention is working on a cost modeling project through Afton Partners. The workforce workgroup will work with the Bureau and Afton Partners to assist in this project.

V. Public Comment

- There was no public comment for this meeting.

• Will meeting dates and times be posted publicly? Yes, they will be posted on the IICEI page.
• Can the charge documents be shared with other groups? Yes, the charge document can be shared.
