New Designation
The Budget Committee designated $125,000 in SFY23/24 ARPA funds to Adler University to support salaries and benefits for course instructors, a program manager, and program advisor, as well as student laptops, instructional supplies, postage, and travel costs for advisor in-person meetings with students enrolled in an online undergraduate degree program in applied psychology to justice system-impacted students at the Big Muddy River Correctional Facility.
4. Restore, Reinvest, and Renew
New Notice of Funding Opportunity
The Budget Committee designated $45 million in anticipated SFY25 Restore, Reinvest, and Renew (R3) funding to issue a competitive notice of funding opportunity to deliver services in the areas of reentry and civil legal aid.

5. Justice Assistance Grants
New Designation
The Budget Committee designated $200,000 in FFY21 Justice Assistance Grants (JAG) funds to Acclivus to continue their violence prevention program.
6. Safe From the Start
Designation Increase
The Budget Committee increased the existing $122,000 SFY24 Safe From the Start (SFS) designation to the Center for Prevention of Abuse by $106,088 for an adjusted designation total of $228,088.
7. Victims of Crime Act
Designation Reductions
The Budget Committee reduced FFY19 designations to Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) programs by the amounts described in the table below.

Designation Increases
The Budget Committee increased the existing $658,526 SFY22-24 Community-Based Violence Intervention and Prevention (CBVIP) designation to Entrepreneurs Academy by $464,842 in SFY24 CBVIP funds for a revised total designation of $1,123,368.
The Budget Committee increased the existing $281,770 SFY22 ARPA designation to New Life Knew Solutions by $170,790 in SFY24 CBVIP funds for a revised total designation of $452,560.
10. The Blessed Child
New Designation
The Budget Committee designated $500,000 in SFY24 state General Revenue Funds to The Blessed Child to implement a violence prevention program focused on preventing gun violence for youth and young adults ages 12-27 in southern Cook County.

11. Violence Prevention and Reduction

The Budget Committee increased the existing $135,000 SFY24 VPR designation to St. Agatha Catholic Church by $437,000 in SFY24 VPR funds for a revised total designation of $572,000.
12. State Crisis Intervention Program
Plan and Initial Funding Plan
The Budget Committee approved the State Crisis Intervention Program (SCIP) Plan for the State of Illinois and its initial funding plan. The SCIP Plan and initial funding plan will be submitted to the Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance for required review and approval.
Under the Authority’s administrative rules, members shall be notified of all motions passed by a particular committee within 5 business days of any committee meeting, or prior to the next meeting of that committee, or before the next meeting of the Authority, whichever is sooner. Within 10 business days of this notice, a special meeting may be convened upon the request of 5 Authority members to discuss any action taken by a committee and to supersede the action. 2 Ill. Admin. Code 1750.340(i).
