RE: Hearing on Proposed Closures of Stateville Correctional Center in Crest Hill and Logan Correctional Center in Lincoln
There will be a meeting of the Illinois Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability to be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 10:00 A.M., in Room 212 of the Illinois State Capitol. The address of the Illinois State Capitol is 401 S. 2nd St., Springfield, Illinois 62706.
The purpose of the hearing is to discuss the proposed facility closures of the Stateville Correctional Center and Logan Correctional Center. Representatives from the Illinois Department of Corrections and representatives of labor will provide testimony. This meeting will be followed up by a public hearing near each facility to allow local stakeholders to provide testimony.
