Illinois extends livestock entry deadline for state fair due to extreme weather

The Illinois Department of Agriculture has extended the Junior Livestock Entry Deadline to Thursday, July 18 at 5 p.m. due to extreme weather conditions across the state.

This year, exhibitor registration has transitioned online using ShoWorks. The new system and the Livestock Premium Book are available on the Illinois State Fair website.

Exhibitors with questions or in need of assistance can contact the Competitive Events office at 217.782.0786. The office operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The 2024 Illinois State Fair will take place from August 8 through August 18 in Springfield. For updates and announcements, connect via Facebook and Instagram.
