I. Call to Order/ Roll Call/ Opening Remarks 

• ICJIA Director Delrice Adams, chair, called the meeting to order. 

• Kristina Dion took roll call and quorum was established.

II. Old Business 

• Motion: To approve the minutes of May 31, 2024.

• Motion by: Eric Arnold, for the approval of the minutes.

• Seconded By: Carolyn Yuroff,

• Counsel Dion took the roll call vote, majority approved and motion passes with minutes approved.

III. New Business 

• Chairperson: Executive Director Adams thanked members for their contributions to the task force and the additional review of the final report. Chairperson Adams mentioned giving a little more time to the body to review the suggested edits. Members did not feel in the discussion there was a great representation of victim service providers. The final draft was sent back out to members to give the entire group opportunity to provide feedback. Chairperson Adams reminded members final report edits sent after the meeting on May 31, 2024. All members were asked to respond and or provide feedback by June 7, 2024. Chairperson Adams thanks members for their responses.

• Today members will have an opportunity to discuss the report and vote on the final report. If approved at today’s meeting, the report will be submitted to the Governor’s Office and General Assembly and available on ICJIA’s website. Chairperson Adams introduced Amanda Vasquez, ICJIA Research, will walk us through the final report draft

• Amanda Vasquez takes the floor and presents the report on screen for members to view.

• Amanda Pyron provided feedback to add “The Network: Advocating Against Domestic Violence for the name of organization which they have association.

• LaTanya Hill: Requested formal name of Agency to be listed as Kane County Court Services. The title is Probation Director, over Pre-Trial for Kane County.

• Sharlyn Grace: Updated their organization should be listed as "The Law Office of the Cook County Public Defender"

• Nikki Ticknor: Provided formalization of agency of the court to read 17th Judicial Circuit of Illinois

• Amanda Vasquez: pointed out recommended changes the group made in the May 31, 2024, meeting. The group made changes on language.

• Eric Arnold provided comment on the language modification.

• Ms. Vasquez presented the final report conclusion and turned meeting over to Chairperson Adams and addressed Counsel Dion to take final roll call vote.

• General Counsel Dion takes roll call vote to approve final report with edits

Executive Director Adams commended the work by the committee for discussion points and ability to move the report forward. ICJIA will keep members posted on publication and an approval of the report. His is a great accomplishment for this year. Chairperson moved to open for public comment.
