IDPH posts second quarter nursing home violations for 2024

The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) announced the release of the 2024 Second Quarterly Report of Nursing Home Violations. The report, detailing 268 violation reports completed in the second quarter of 2024, is available on the IDPH website.

Five facilities were cited with type "AA" violations of the Nursing Home Care Act during this period. An "AA" violation indicates a condition or occurrence at a facility that proximately caused a resident's death.

Alden of Watford, located in Aurora, was fined $50,000. Aliya of Palos Park in Palos Park received a fine of $52,200. Aperion Care of West Chicago in West Chicago was fined $50,000. Jerseyville Nursing & Rehab Center in Jerseyville faced a fine of $77,200. St. Anthony’s Nursing & Rehab Center in Rock Island was fined $75,000.

The public can file complaints with IDPH against any licensed healthcare facility in Illinois. Information on how to file a complaint is available on the IDPH website.
