The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) will hold a career fair on Wednesday, November 15, in Springfield. The event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the IDOT headquarters located in the Harry R. Hanley Building, 2300 S. Dirksen Parkway.
During the fair, representatives from various IDOT offices and bureaus will be present to discuss employment opportunities in technical and administrative roles across different locations. Attendees will have the chance to learn about applying for state jobs and can participate in breakout sessions.
Central Management Services partners will be on hand to clarify the application process. Staff from the Illinois Secretary of State's office will address questions regarding commercial driver's licenses for positions requiring them. Additionally, representatives from the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs will provide guidance on services available to qualified veterans.
Although there will be a limited number of computers available for signing up through the state's electronic job application system, attendees are encouraged to bring their own laptops.
Further information about working at IDOT, including current job openings and benefits, can be found by visiting IDOT Employment Opportunities.
