Officials launch winter weather safety campaign in Rock Island

Transportation and law enforcement officials are set to commence the "Winter Weather - Get it Together" campaign. This initiative aims to prepare for the upcoming snow-and-ice season and provide crucial safety advice for drivers. The Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois State Police, and Rock Island County will participate in this effort.

The event will feature a media availability session where officials will discuss measures being taken to ensure safety during winter conditions. There will be opportunities for interviews and B-roll footage.

The session is scheduled for Thursday, November 16, 2023, at 10 a.m. It will take place at the IDOT Milan Maintenance Yard, located at 4128 69th Avenue in Milan, IL.
