The Illinois State Fair is gearing up for its 2023 edition, set to take place from August 10 to 20 in Springfield. Tickets for the fair's grandstand shows will be available for purchase starting March 31 at 10:00 a.m. through Ticketmaster. The lineup includes performances by Old Dominion, REO Speedwagon, Alter Bridge with Mammoth WVH, and Maren Morris.
Rebecca Clark, the Illinois State Fair Manager, expressed enthusiasm about this year's musical offerings. "We are excited to continue the tradition of bringing multiple genres of music to our grandstand," she said. She also emphasized affordability, stating that families shouldn't have to spend excessively to enjoy top-tier entertainment.
In addition to these acts, more performers will be announced in the coming weeks. A new feature this year is a pre-sale opportunity on March 30 for those who sign up as Main Gate Insiders—a free service providing exclusive updates and deals related to the fair.
Ticket prices vary by performance and seating area. For instance, tickets for Old Dominion's show on August 11 range from $34 to $123 depending on the section chosen. Other artists' ticket prices follow similar tiered structures.
Fairgoers are reminded that Ticketmaster is the only authorized seller for these events and should be cautious of other websites offering tickets.
Additional options such as Mega Passes and Jumbo Passes can also be purchased online until July 31 at discounted rates of $70 and $80 respectively. These passes provide access to various attractions throughout the fair duration.
Admission Bargain Books offering eleven any-day admissions are priced at $45, while Seasonal Infield Parking Passes cost $40.
