Keith Urban is set to headline the Illinois State Fair Grandstand on August 9, with special guest MacKenzie Porter. The announcement was made by Illinois State Fair Manager Rebecca Clark, who expressed excitement about Urban's performance: "Keith Urban is a country music legend, and we are delighted to bring him to the Illinois State Fair Grandstand. His music spans decades and appeals to generations of fans."
Urban, a two-time CMA Entertainer of the Year, has won multiple awards throughout his career, including four GRAMMY© Awards and thirteen CMAs. He was inducted into the Nashville Songwriter's Hall of Fame in 2023 by Dolly Parton. Recently, he returned to American Idol as both a mentor and performer and concluded his Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
Fans can look forward to new music from Urban later this year, which will add to his collection of chart-topping songs such as "Blue Ain't Your Color" and "Wasted Time." Tickets for his performance go on sale February 24 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.
MacKenzie Porter will also perform at the fair. Known for her duet with Dustin Lynch titled "Thinking 'Bout You," she has gained recognition with hits like "Pickup" and "These Days." Her debut album is set for release on April 26.
