The Illinois State Fair has announced that Maren Morris, a Grammy-winning artist known for her contributions to country music, will headline the Illinois Lottery Grandstand on August 19, 2023. Maren Morris is recognized for her vocal skills and songwriting talent. Her third album released in March 2022 received critical acclaim and debuted at number two on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. The album earned Grammy nominations in several categories including Best Country Album and Best Country Song.
Rebecca Clark, the Illinois State Fair Manager, expressed enthusiasm about the announcement: "We are so excited to start announcing our 2023 Illinois State Fair Grandstand lineup. To kick it all off with Maren Morris who brings hit after hit to our Illinois Lottery Grandstand Stage is a dream come true." She added that fans of Morris' collaborations and singles such as "The Middle," "My Church," "80's Mercedes," and "The Bones" would not want to miss this concert.
Tickets for Maren Morris' performance will be available at a later date. Prices range from $50 to $123 depending on seating tiers, with an additional upgrade option available for all paid concerts.
