The Illinois Department of Agriculture is set to host the Illinois Product Holiday Market in downtown Springfield from December 1st to 3rd. The event will take place on the "Y Block" north of the Governor's Mansion.

The market will showcase a variety of local products, including egg nog, milk, cheeses, sauces, seasonings, meats, baked goods, candles, and woodworking items. Food vendors will be present for attendees to enjoy snacks or meals. Additionally, a wine tasting experience featuring seven wineries from across Illinois will be available for those aged 21 and over.

"The Illinois Product program gives Illinois entrepreneurs a platform to grow and expand their business," said IDOA Director Jerry Costello. "This Holiday Market is a great opportunity for shoppers to support local agri-businesses that contribute to our state's number one industry."

Visitors can also purchase an array of passes such as the Illinois State Fair Mega Pass and Jumbo Pass at discounted prices. The newly released Illinois' Best cookbook will also be on sale.

The market aims to cater to families with free activities for children like crafts, a selfie station, coloring activities, live music performances, and visits from Santa Claus.

Market hours are scheduled as follows:

- Friday, December 1: 4 pm - 9 pm (Santa Visits: 5 pm - 7 pm)

- Saturday, December 2: 11 am - 6 pm (Santa Visits: 12 pm - 3 pm)

- Sunday, December 3: 11 am - 4 pm (Santa Visits: 11 am - 2 pm)

The event is sponsored by several organizations including the Illinois Department of Agriculture and Illinois Wine. More information about participating vendors can be found on their website or social media platforms.
