The Illinois State Fair is set to host a 100 Days Out celebration on April 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Reisch Pavilion on the fairgrounds in Springfield, Illinois. This event will provide attendees with a taste of the upcoming fair scheduled for August 8-18.
Visitors can expect popular vendors such as Taft's Mr. Ribeye, Coleman Concessions, Country Fryer, Poe's Catering, and Shroom Shack, a vegan vendor, to offer various food items including ribeye sandwiches, cozy dogs, lemon shakeups, turkey legs, and mini doughnuts. Each purchase comes with a ticket for a chance to win prizes related to the State Fair.
Discounted mega passes, jumbo passes, admission booklets, and parking passes will be available for purchase during the event. "We are proud to showcase the Illinois State Fairgrounds following a $58 million investment in improvements," stated Jerry Costello II, Director of the Illinois Department of Agriculture. He added that this year's fair "promises to be the biggest and best yet."
An online contest will select two winners who will receive roundtrip party bus transportation for themselves and 19 coworkers to attend the celebration. Interested parties can enter by visiting statefair.illinois.gov.
Rebecca Clark, Illinois State Fair Manager, emphasized that "our 100 Day celebration serves as a ‘save the date' for the Illinois State Fair." She highlighted it as an opportunity for attendees to enjoy lunch while securing money-saving passes.
The event is free of charge and includes complimentary parking on-site.
