Norma Messaglia Remembered for Devotion to Family, Education, and Faith

Norma Messaglia, born on July 5, 1940, peacefully transitioned on November 8, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late James Messaglia and a loving mother to John (Susan), Mark (Lisa), Julie (Roy) Kolecki, and Marcy (Scott) Paddock. Norma was a devoted grandmother to Christina (Patrick) Fulton, Angela, Johnny (Jessi), Gianna (Anthony) Zomparelli, Alyssa, Kelsey, Jordan, and Juliana. Her warm embrace extended to her great-grandchildren June, Frankie, Grace, Lane, and Gemma. Norma was also a cherished sibling of Bob (the late Joyce), Alan (Pat), Marty (Sally), Anne (Gene), Tom (Sharon), Terry (Jeanie), and the late Gary (Nancy) Ruhland.

Throughout her life, Norma made enduring contributions as the past President of the District 128 School Board and as the Director of Religious Education at Incarnation Catholic Church and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. In honor of her memory, donations to Lightways Hospice, Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, or Misericordia Home are welcomed.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at Lawn Funeral Home in Tinley Park. A Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. Julie Billiart Roman Catholic Church, leading to interment at Good Shepherd Cemetery. For additional details, please contact (708) 532-3100.
