Jose "Joseph" M. Chavez | Wandenberg Funeral Home Mokena

Jose "Joseph" M. Chavez, a U.S. Army Veteran known for his love of fishing, hunting, camping, and boating, passed away on November 18, 2024. He was 68 years old. Joseph, a devoted outdoors enthusiast, found joy in nature.

Survived by his wife of 35 years, Deborah Chavez, Joseph was the father of Ben Chavez and Alex (Willie) Vega. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Quinn, Eli, and Hunter, in addition to nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Predeceased by his siblings Jessie (Georganna) Chavez and George (Dawn) Chavez, Joseph will be fondly remembered as a caring brother.

A celebration of Joseph Chavez's life will be announced at a later date, as per the family's wishes for no visitation or services. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Vandenberg Funeral Home in Mokena, IL.
