Linda C. Sterk, 75, Dies in Bourbonnais Linda C. Sterk, 75, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024, at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. She was born in Evansville, Indiana, on February 22, 1949, to John and Dorris (Allyn) Tillerson. Linda married Alain Sterk on September 21, 1968, at Rogers Park Baptist Church.

She had a career in the local insurance industry and found her greatest joy in caring for her family. Linda is survived by her husband of 56 years, Alain Sterk; son Brandon (Andrea) Sterk of Bourbonnais; daughter Alyson Messersmith of Rockmart, GA; sister Suzanne Doering of Atlanta, GA; five grandchildren, Alexandra Sterk-Dulinsky (J.D.), Michael Messersmith III, Johnny Messersmith, Gabriel Sterk, and Elijah Sterk; grand dog, Milo; and several nieces and nephews. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Jack Tillerson, and one brother-in-law, Ken Doering.

Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life hosted by the family will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Autism Speaks. Arrangements are being handled by Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais.
