Catherine M. Wynne, 94, of Bourbonnais, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee. Born on July 22, 1930 in Harvey to Louis and Josephine (Bossert) Kohlmetz, Catherine married Gordon Wynne on May 6, 1950 in Kankakee.

Catherine worked at Simoniz, later known as Dow Chemical, in Kankakee. She enjoyed crafting, playing card games, and cherishing time with her family. Survived by son Justin (Lana) Wynne, daughters Patricia (Robert) Long and Cheryl (Richard) Regnier, brother Louis Kohlmetz, grandchildren Stephen (Emily) Long, Matthew (Kelly) Long, Nicholas Regnier, Benjamin (Kathy) Regnier, Zachary (Erin) Regnier, Alex (Amy) Wynne, Sarah Wynne, Brianna Wynne, Braedon Wynne, and Brantlee Wynne, as well as great-grandchildren Elijah, Emerson, Abraham, and Lorenzo Long, Luman Long, Lincoln, Asher, and Gabriel Regnier.

Preceded in death by husband Gordon, parents Louis and Josephine Kohlmetz, and son Raymond Wynne. Visitation and funeral service to be held at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Homes in Bourbonnais on Monday, November 25, 2024. Cremation rites will follow the service, with inurnment planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Sympathy gifts can be sent via the family's Sympathy Store.
