Peotone, IL — Carole R. Reichert, aged 104, of Peotone, peacefully passed away on November 23, 2024, at Beecher Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born on December 20, 1919, in Kankakee, IL, she was the daughter of Ernest and Anna Ely.

Carole was a devoted member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Peotone. Known for her artistic talents, she found joy in painting, coloring, and creating beautiful ceramic pieces. Her love for art was a passion she pursued throughout her life, always immersed in various art projects. Carole adored dancing with her husband and was a kind-hearted individual who consistently lent a helping hand to family and friends, showcasing her love and care for all.

Carole is survived by her children: David (Kathy) Meyer, Ardythe (Michael) Duell, and Julie (Joe) Pilbeam; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild with one more on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Lavern "Sonny" Meyer, her second husband Richard Reichert, and her son Alan J. Meyer.

Cremation has taken place, and a memorial committal service at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL, will be scheduled for a future date to honor and remember Carole's life.
