Jeanne Ives commented on the voting record of Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson’s advisor in a December 6 post on X, stating he "claimed to live in Chicago to be eligible for the taxpayer-funded position and then told Houston officials when he voted in person in 2024 that he lived there."
"Isn't this Election Fraud," said Ives, Founder. "Brandon Johnson's advisor claimed to live in Chicago to be eligible for the taxpayer-funded position and then told Houston officials when he voted in person in 2024 that he lived there. Will the new SA prosecute him? Investigate him? Does he claim TX as home because they have no state income tax?"
According to Ives, she shared a link to a Chicago Tribune article on the topic. The Tribune analyzed Jason Lee’s voting records and found that he cast his ballot in the recent presidential election in person on Election Day, in Houston. His voter registration address was listed in Houston, and evidence showed he told election officials he lived there. Since May 2023, Lee has advised Johnson as a senior adviser and signed an affidavit in May 2023 declaring Chicago as his permanent residence.

Lee is the son of the late U.S. Representative Sheila Jackson Lee. "I voted in Texas last month because I wanted to vote for my sister. My mother has been a U.S. representative for my entire life, and I made a commitment to her that I would vote in my home district. I didn’t vote anywhere else. My parents’ home is where my registration card was, and I never changed it. But my residency is in Chicago," Lee said in an interview with the Tribune.
On December 6, Ives also shared a post from Austin Berg, which included an image of a letter from Chicago Alderman Ray Lopez to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s Election Fraud Unit requesting an investigation into Lee’s voting record. The letter said: "In Chicago, I have asked the Office of the Inspector General to investigate the matter as it relates to our personnel policies and violation of residency requirements for employees. However, we are unable to investigate and adjudicate the more serious matter of fraudulent voter activity. Your office has a well-established record of defending the integrity of ballot access and voting operations. On its face, the narrative provided is, at best, problematic, and at worst, constitutes felonious election fraud."
