The meeting will include recognitions of Briana Morales as the 2023 Illinois Teacher of the Year and Dr. Rachael Mahmood as the 2024 Illinois Teacher of the Year. A closed session may occur to discuss matters such as employee-related issues or pending litigation.

The Superintendent’s Report will feature a consent agenda with routine items expected to be enacted in one motion unless further discussion is requested by a board member. Items on this agenda include approvals related to contracts and grants over $1 million, such as renewals and new initiatives.

Discussion topics include approval of various grants and contracts exceeding $1 million, including those for YouthBuild Illinois Grant and Dolly Parton Imagination Library among others.

Announcements and reports from senior staff members and board members will follow, alongside monthly fiscal and administrative reports.

The meeting is set to adjourn after these proceedings are concluded.
