Charlotte Terese Finn, age 92, of South Wilmington, IL, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024, at her home. Born on July 30, 1932, in Morris, IL, to Martin and Alice Eich, she dedicated her career as an Administrative Assistant for Reed-Custer School District, South Wilmington Grade School, and Elwood Elementary School. After retirement, she continued her service by volunteering at Morris Hospital. Known for her active involvement in the community, Charlotte was a member of the Council of Catholic Women at St. Lawrence Church and the Parent-Teacher Organization. An accomplished pianist and organist, she shared her musical talents at church, taught piano lessons, and spread her love for music to the next generation. Charlotte's passion for sewing shined through her talents as an accomplished seamstress, creating personalized clothing for her loved ones. Her love for travel took her to Ireland and various European countries, enriching her life with diverse experiences. Charlotte was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed for her devotion to her family.

Charlotte is survived by her sons, Matthew (Tami) Finn and Mark (Rebecca) Finn of South Wilmington; grandchildren, Brian (Kelsey) Finn of Towson, MD, Michael Finn of Morris, IL, Mallory (Mitch) Sistek of South Wilmington, and Lauren Finn of Bonita Springs, FL; great-grandchildren, Karson, Jaedyn, and Mikey Finn, and Layla and Grady Sistek; former husband Edward Finn of South Wilmington; dear cousin Phillipa O’Keefe, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Alice Eich, and her brothers Wendell “Bud” (Betty) Eich and William Eich.

Visitation will be held at R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, December 22, 2024, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in South Wilmington on Monday, December 23, 2024, at 10:00 am, officiated by Father Stanley Drewniak, followed by interment at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Morris. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to South Wilmington Grade School for the music and art programs.
