Albert R. Sparks, a proud Army Korean War Veteran, age 93, of Orland Park, formerly of Oak Lawn, has peacefully passed away. He was the beloved husband of Jeanette (nee Placzek) and the loving father of Lynne Sparks, Alan (Lauri) Sparks, the late Donna Sparks, and Larry Sparks. Albert was the devoted grandfather of Victoria (Elliot) Totsch, Julie (Torrey) Boyak, and Amy (John) Lynch. He was a cherished great-grandfather of Zoey, Charlie, Aiden, and Jack. Albert was the son of the late Albert A. and Mary.

The funeral is scheduled for Saturday at 9:45 a.m. at RICHARD J MODELL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, located at 12641 W. 143rd Street in Homer Glen, followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Entombment will take place at Resurrection Mausoleum.

Visitation hours will be held on Friday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Albert was known for his dedication to the community as a Fourth Degree Member of Joliet Assembly #0204 K of C and a member of St. Mary of Mokena K of C. He served as a past commander of Peoples Gas Post A.L.
