Emil L. Zalud, Jr., known as "EZ", aged 71, of Essex, IL, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025, at his residence. Born on August 6, 1953, in Joliet, IL, to Emil and Auda Zalud, Sr., he shared 50 beautiful years of marriage with Carmen Kirchner. Emil retired as an equipment operator at Exxon Mobile after a dedicated 37-year career and enjoyed playing poker.

He is survived by his wife Carmen Zalud, son Brandon (Lisa) Zalud of Lithia, FL, daughters Sylvia (Brennen) Webster of Essex, and Sarah (Joshua) Schneider of Herscher, IL, along with six grandchildren. Cremation rites have been fulfilled. A memorial visitation honoring Emil's life will take place at R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory on January 10, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
