Mokena, IL - Joseph J. Klaw Sr., age 82, a resident of Mokena, IL, passed away on January 27, 2025. Joseph had a passion for traveling, with a particular fondness for visits to Williams Bay, Wisconsin. He was an alumnus of Brother Rice High School and had a keen interest in all forms of transportation, including planes, buses, and trains. But above all, he found the most joy in spending time with his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Maria J. Klaw (nee Cancialosi), his children Joseph (Laura) Klaw, Michael (Liz) Klaw, Erica Klaw, Lisa Klaw, and Laura (Andy) Loranger, and his grandchildren Anna, Joe, Max, Madeline, Stephan, and Matthew. He was preceded in death by his grandchildren Brandon and Justin. Joseph is also remembered by his sister Audrey Yandel. He was the son of the late Joseph J. Klaw Sr. and Anne Klaw and a caring uncle to several nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation for Joseph will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Vandenberg Funeral Home in Mokena, IL. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Great Lakes Weimaraner Rescue (https://greatlakesweimrescue.com/) or to the Rise Travel Institute (https://www.risetravelinstitute.org/).
