Adult use cannabis sales reach new highs in January

The latest figures for adult-use cannabis sales in January 2025 have been released, showing a total of 3,958,808 items sold. The sales generated $111,503,991.71 from in-state residents and $28,687,248.56 from out-of-state residents. The combined total for January amounted to $140,191,240.27.

Comparatively, the previous year's January saw 3,551,727 items sold with in-state sales totaling $104,048,656.70 and out-of-state sales at $29,739,097.19. This brought the total to $133,787,753.89.

Throughout the year following January 2024:

- February recorded 3,636,925 items sold with a total of $135,571,931.44.

- March had higher numbers with 4,048,897 items sold totaling $148,872,065.12.

- April's figures were slightly lower with 4,140,350 items resulting in a total of $144,511466.85.

- May saw similar numbers to April with 4 million plus items sold and a total of $146 million plus.

- June experienced slight declines but still reached over 4 million items and totaled over $141 million.

- July maintained consistency with over 4 million items sold totaling over $143 million.

- August marked an increase again with over 4 million items reaching nearly $147 million.

- September saw a slight dip but managed to stay above the previous year’s same month’s figures.

- October followed suit closely matching earlier months’ trends with totals exceeding past October's numbers by around six million dollars more than last year’s figure.

November and December continued this upward trend; November reached new heights at nearly one hundred fifty billion dollars while December capped off record-setting year end closeouts well surpassing one hundred fifty-three billion mark respectively.
