Roger A Radnis | Kaminski Family Funeral Homes & Cremation
Roger bravely served as a mechanic and Tunnel Rat in the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1972. His commitment and courage during his military service were reflections of his enduring character.
Following his military service, Roger pursued a career as a Heavy Duty Mechanic, working at Romano Bros. Liquor Co., later transitioning to Southern Wine & Spirits. As a proud member of Local 701, his dedication and skills as a mechanic were recognized by his union colleagues.
Roger's interests were vast and passionate, from coaching Titan Football to enjoying Harley rides through forest preserves. A music enthusiast, he found solace in the melodies of AC/DC and Bob Seger, creating a soundtrack for his life's moments.
His greatest joy was the laughter and camaraderie of his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving children Renee Wagner and Steve Radnis, daughter-in-law Christine Radnis, and grandchildren Kylie, Heidi, Roger, and Henry. Roger is predeceased by his parents, Bernard and Frances Radnis, and warmly remembered by his extended family and dear cousins.
Roger's thoughtful, handy, and loving nature touched many lives beyond his immediate circle. His impactful presence will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.
