John E. Bakowski, 67, passed away on February 22, 2025 in Chicago, Illinois. Born on August 21, 1957, John was known for his handiness, loving nature, and selflessness, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.

John worked in heating, cooling, and carpentry, always eager to use his skills to help those around him. He found solace in fishing and enjoyed spending time at the casino with his sister Nancy Mercado. John also had a passion for country western movies and Chicago sports.

His true pride and joy were his children, Lesia Moore, Julie Bakowski, and Jeff Bakowski, as well as his grandchildren, Kenzie and Kole Moore. Preceded in death by his wife Denise Bakowski-Barajas, John will be remembered as a man who built a foundation of love and kindness for his family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium in Justice, Illinois. Cremation rites will be accorded in his honor.
