Clarence Kinkin, Jr., 76, of Wilmington, IL, Passes Away at Riverside Medical Center

Clarence Kinkin, Jr., also known as “Butch” and “King Kong”, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, IL. He was born on November 11, 1948 to Clarence and Doris (nee Cook) Kinkin, Sr.

Clarence married Margie Alldread in 1970 and they raised their family in Wilmington. He worked at Celetrex and Vandenberg Foods before retiring from Wilmington School District in 2015. He enjoyed interacting with students and attending Wilmington High School football games. Clarence was a deer hunting enthusiast, NASCAR and Chicago Bears fan, and took pride in his car collection including a 1972 Lemans and a 1995 Chevy S10. He also delighted in restoring old Cub Cadet lawnmowers.

Surviving him are his wife, Margie Kinkin; sons, Jason, Patrick, Tracy (Amy), and Dennis Michael Rosas; grandchildren, Kyle, Addison, and Kaitlyn; great-granddaughter, Palmer; and sister, Clare (Albert) Flynn of Isabella, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Darrell Kinkin.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and a memorial visitation will be held at their home on Essex Road in Wilmington on Sunday, April 6, 2025 beginning at 2 p.m.
