George William Petecki, Jr., aged 55, of Joliet, was a devoted father, son, brother, and friend. He took immense pride in his role as a father to George Petecki III and Jackson Chance, whom he adored. George was the beloved son of George Sr. and Sharyn Petecki and cherished brother of Gregory Petecki and Eric (Victoria) Petecki. He was a dear uncle to Evelyn, Lillian, and Stanley Petecki.

Throughout his life, George dedicated himself to serving his community, serving as a Trustee for the Joliet East Fire Department and being an active Eagle Scout involved in Pack 94 to guide young scouts. As the owner of George's Landscaping Inc., he found profound satisfaction in his work, making a lasting impact on the area.

George will be fondly remembered for his vibrant personality, adventurous spirit, and his unwavering loyalty to his family and friends.

Funeral Services will take place on Friday, March 28 at 9:00 AM from Richard J. Modell Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 12641 W. 143rd St., Homer Glen, to Our Mother of Good Counsel Church for a 10:00 AM Mass.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 27, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately.

George's generous spirit and profound impact will endure in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
