Raymond's life was filled with rich experiences and meaningful encounters. He first met his beloved wife, Marie, in kindergarten and later shared a lifetime of love with her. A talented athlete, he showcased his skills as a wrestler and football player at St. Bruno Parish Grade School and Tilden Tech High School before excelling at Loras College in Iowa.
Raymond dedicated his working years to the telephone industry, affectionately known as the "Phone Company." He later embraced his role as "Uncle Ray" while working as a handyman at Altas Putty. Beyond his career, Raymond epitomized the "Road Less Traveled" ethos, finding solace and joy through outdoor adventures like hiking, canoeing, biking, and harmonica-accompanied explorations.
A beacon of happiness, Raymond had a remarkable ability to bring smiles to all he encountered, armed with his harmonica and infectious joy. Family held great importance in his life, exemplifying connection and solidarity. His legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories will be everlasting.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Bernard Parish Building to Grow Fund, Friends of the Forest Preserves, or a charity of choice.
