Louis Murray | Smits Deyoung-Vroegh Chapel - South Holland
Born in Seale, AL to Abe & Mary Murray, Louis moved to Chicago at 20 in 1968 in search of better job opportunities. He found employment at Plochman's Mustard Co. and met his soulmate, Ceil, whom he spent 51 loving years with. Louis contributed his hard work to various construction companies until retirement. Louis will be remembered for his zest for life, sense of humor, and his resilience in the face of health challenges. Known as "Tightline" for his passion and skill in fishing, he will now fish in God's kingdom.
Visitation will take place Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt.6/159th St.) South Holland, IL. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL.
